4.6 Wireless LAN
When purchasing a Wireless LAN card be sure to follow the
information provided in chapter 2.5.12 of this manual.
For recommendations on tested WiFi cards please refer to our
support forum (http://forum.skeye.com) or contact the service line
(the phone number can be found in chapter 10.6).
4.6.1 Wireless LAN Settings
1. Set up a Wireless LAN access point that provides access to a
LAN or the internet. Follow the instructions of your Wireless
LAN access point documentation.
2. If required, install the corresponding driver software for the
Wireless LAN card via your desktop PC, the docking station,
and Microsoft ActiveSync on the skeye.pad XSL (see chapter
7.2 ff.)
This is not required for an integrated WiFi module.
3. Insert the WiFi card into the card slot.
4. On your skeye.pad XSL, go to Start ⇒

Control Panel ⇒
⇒⇒
⇒ Network and Dial-up Connections
to call the window for network and dial-up connections.
5. Double-tap the WiFi module.
6. Activate Obtain an IP address via DHCP. DHCP is activated
by default.
7. In case of a manual setting of the IP addresses enter the
addresses under IP Address, Subnet Mask, Default Gateway
and tab Name Servers.
8. Tap [OK] for all queries to exit the dialog.
