3.9 Maintenance

The FNP-LED requires little or no maintenance other than to ensure that the fascia is

clean and clear of obstructions. If required, the fascia can be wiped with a barely damp

cloth. Cleaning solutions other than those specifically designed for plastics such as anti

static spray cleaners should not be used.

The FNP-LED should be periodically tested at the same time as the rest of the fire alarm

system in a systematic manner which ensures that all indicators show the correct

information. FNP-LED models with controls have a lamp test button which can be used

to verify that all indicators and the internal buzzer are working correctly. The silence

buzzer, silence alarm and reset control buttons should also be tested periodically.
