6 Event Log
An event is defined as
a change t o any pr ogr ammed function
a signal received f r om an ext ernal controll er such as the r em ote softwar e, FI REli nk - API C or
SenseNET
a detec tor output l ev el meeti ng or ex c eeding the Pre-Alarm, Aux, Fire 1 or Fire 2 alarm t hr eshol ds
a fault condition such as a fl ow or separator fault
start of day / night operation
dem onst r ation mode start / stop
FastLear n star t / stop
Power on or off
The detector stores an internal log of t he last 200 ev ents, and t his can either be v iewed on a PC screen
or downloaded t o disk by use of the r em ote control software.
When the ev ent log is full (200 ev ents are stor ed) and a new event occur s, the oldest ev ent in the log is
deleted (Fir st- In, First- Out).
To download the event l og, connect a PC to the detector serial por t and run the r em ote software. Either
select the menu options View > Event Log or click on the event log sym bol as i ndicated below:

This shows t he tim e and date of each event stored in the log al ong with its general description. T he
buttons at the bottom of the screen allow cont r ol over the input and output of the log.
