Noted:
● Very Important - Your camera must be outputting PAL format video (I am
using the 808#16 V2 Keychain cam where I can set the video output standard to
PAL), unless you are able to change the appropriate code lines and recompile.
● Home arrow does not appear until speed (SPD) is at least 3 Kph and distance (LOS)
is at least 10 meters - shows X in the circle until then
● Home arrow is not accurate until speed is at least 8 - 9Kph -- if you are testing the
unit by walking, it will seem that it is not working (but it is) because most people
can not walk that fast (5-6mph)
● ALT value flashes when negative
● LOS value flashes when over 10000 meters
● While testing in the car, the lat and long are somewhat inaccurate but the speed
is OK.
● Highest satellite locks seen so far on my unit is 9
Small Issues:
● Sometimes speed, distance, # satelittes and altitude show crazy high values for a split
second, especially when the speed is slow
● Sometimes it seems not to get satellite fixes until powering off and on 2 or 3 times,
maybe I am not patient, but waiting 2 minutes is about it for me. But it can lock as
quickly as 30 - 40 seconds.
● If you are testing under a bunch of trees move the unit to another area.
● The unit bombs out occasionally and only displays 7 or 8 rows of lat and long on the
screen - have not determined when or why - lesson: always keep your vehicle within
your limit of vision.
