● Seems to need 3 satellite locks before latitude, longitude and altitude display
● Seems to need at least 4 satellite locks before you can start tracking / set HOME
POS
● Tthe more satellite locks the greater the accuracy
● Additional satelittes will come online automatically as they are locked in
● Ssatellite icon is no longer blinking
● OSD Unit LED is on solid
● Start tracking / set HOME POS: press board button for 2 seconds:
● Tracking starts
● Timer restarts at zero
● SPD - speed set to to zero
● LOS - distance set to to zero
● # of satelitte locks is displayed
● ALT - altitude set to to zero
● Summary data in middle of screen DST, SPD, TRIP, ALT all reset to zeros
● LOS and ALT may show small numbers as calculated values wander around a bit
● Current GPS coordinates and altitude are used as HOME POS
● Home icon displays with no line through
● While unit is moving (see "Noted" below):
● Home direction circle displays arrow pointing to HOME POS location
● Current lat and long is shown (lat DD:MM.mmmmmN, long DDD:MM.mmmmmW)
● Bottom two rows show current values:
● SPD -- speed in Kph (55mph shows as 88, 65mph shows 101 -- pretty accurate)
● LOS -- distance to HOME POS in meters
● # of satellites shows current locks, will increase or decrease over time
● ALT -- altitude in meters compared to HOME POS altitude
● When unit is not moving, summary statistics are displayed in middle in place of lat
and long.
● Home direction circle shows "X"
