Hints for 1 and 2:
Remove the surface coating of the coupling ball
with sandpaper (200-240 grain) and clean with a
thinning solvent or spirit.
for 3:
Polish or clean dirty or damaged coupling balls.
for 4:
Clean the surface of the friction elements with
sandpaper (200-240 grain) and then clean with
petroleum ether or spirit.
Interior
You must also prepare the interior of the vehicle.
Preparing the interior:
Sort all loose objects and store them in their
respective compartments.
Heavier objects should be stored as close to
the oor as possible.
Redirect the refrigerator to 12-volt operation, if
necessary.
Shut off all interior lighting.
Ensure that all uids are kept in tightly closed
containers to prevent leaks, also in the
refrigerator.
Fasten gas bottles in their holders.
Close the main valve on the gas container
as well as the quick-close valves in all gas-
powered appliances.
Close all doors (including the refrigerator
door), drawers and aps tightly.
Latch the sliding door.
Clamp the table's safety device.
Dismantle hanging lamps.
Do not overload the vehicle! Note the
permissible gross weight, permissi-
ble axle load(s) as well as the permit-
ted height, width and length of the
camper.
Post a list with all signicant weights
and measurements of the carriage in
a highly visible place in the base
vehicle.
