Mechanical
Procedures
You will need to familiarize yourself with the following
Mechanical Procedures in your World Scale:
♦ Short PRESS/Long PRESS (Beeps)
♦ Sleep/Wake Modes
Short PRESS/Long PRESS
(Beeps)
The World Scale requires two types of touch when pressing
certain keys on the Console:
Short PRESS = PRESS and release. You
will hear one beep.
Long PRESS = PRESS and hold until you
hear a second beep.
Sleep/Wake Modes
Use Sleep mode when the scale will be
inactive for an extended period of time. This
conserves the life of the batteries.

Note
If you have a Tare in the scale’s memory and the scale goes into
Sleep mode, the Tare will be lost. You have the ability to change
the duration of the sleep timeout in Chapter Four: Supervisor
Mode.
To select Sleep mode:
1. Long PRESS the Display Test key.
