- A - 
Access Code 
A code that allows you to access Supervisor mode in the World 
Scale (WC30). 
- B - 
By Count 
An item that is priced by the number of items per package (i.e., 3 
for $1.00) rather than by weight. 
- D - 
Display Test Key 
The key, 
, which allows you to communicate with your World 
Scale. 
- F - 
Fixed Weight Item 
An item priced by a predetermined weight (i.e., bread is always 16 
oz.). 
Function 
A particular action in World Scale’s program Supervisor mode, 
which is designed to accomplish one or more tasks, such as change 
the beeper volume. 
Function Code 
A code that identifies a function in Supervisor mode of the World 
Scale. 
Function Key 
A key that you press on the World Scale console which allows you 
to move from one function to another in Supervisor mode. 
- L - 
Level Indicator 
A bubble inside a small window on the front of the World Scale 
which tells when the scale is level. 
Long PRESS 
In World Scale, you have two different keystrokes for PRESS. 
Long PRESS means to press a key and hold it until you hear the 
second beep. See also Short PRESS.
