Working with the USB-CONVERTERCABLE

Qualified personnel

Technical Safety Notes

The device should only be used by qualified personnel. Qualified personnel as re-

ferred to in safety guidelines in this documentation are persons who are authorized to

commission, ground, and tag circuits, equipment, and systems in accordance with

established safety practice.

The equipment/system or the system components may only be used for the applications

described in the catalog or the technical description, and only in combination with the equip-

ment, components, and devices of other manufacturers as far as this is recommended or

permitted by Hitachi.

The product will function correctly and safely only it is transported, stored, set up, and

installed as intended, and operated and maintained with care.

The products have been designed for use in an industrial environment in compliance with the

2004/108/CE directive.

The products have been designed in compliance with:

EN 61000-6-4

EN 61000-6-2

Note: USB-CONVERTERCABLE is not applicable to WEEE. The converter cable is only used for

Industrial INV and not used for IT or consumer products.

You can check the Device Manager and see the Prolific USB-to-Serial Comm Port (COM Port)

Uninstalling the device Driver

If you want to remove the USB-CONVERTERCABLE device driver, follow the steps:

Launch the ur42.exe executable file

Select the Uninstaller Driver! Option and click on Next

The installation of these devices into the residential, commercial and light-industrial environments

is allowed only in the case that special measures are taken in order to get the conformity to EN-

61000-6.3.
