USING THE GENIUS REMOTE TO CONTROL CABLE
BOX FUNCTIONS
Operating the pre-coded function for your cable box
ThisGeniusRemoteisdesignedto operatedifferenttypesof cableboxes.You mustfirstprogramthe Genius Remote
tomatchthe remotesysteminyourcable box. (Referto Table2 on page 36 or Table4 on page 37.)
1. Set the MULTI-PAGE select switchto "CAW."
2. Set the USE/LEARN mode selectswitchto "USE."(ForCLU-850GR only)
3. Turn ON yourcable box.
4. Aimthe GeniusRemotecontrolat the frontof your cablebox.

WhileholdingdowntheSELECTbutton,pressthebuttonthatmatchesourcablebox as shownonpage36or page
37. Continueto holddownboth buttons.The channelsofthe cableboxwillbeginchangingwhenthe correctbutton
ispressed. When thisoccurs, the Genius RemoteControl is programmedfor yourcablebox. Ifthecable box
channels do notchange after 5 seconds,try a differentGeniusRemotebutton.
6. Releaseboth buttonswhenthecable boxstartstochangechannels.TheGeniusRemotewillnowcontrol yourcable
NOTES:
1. Ifyourcable box cannot be operatedafter per-
formingthe aboveprocedures,this means that
yourcable box codes have not been precoded
intothe GENIUS REMOTE. Please storeyour
cablebox codesin memoryby usingthe USER
mode.(Refer topage 38.)
. The GENIUS REMOTE CONTROLwillremem-
berthecodesyou have programmedinuntilthe
batteriesare removed from the GENIUS RE-
MOTE CONTROL. Afterreplacingthe batteries,
repeattheentireprogrammingprocedurestated
above.

CATV codes.
