7.1.2. Hanging HSI Brooder with 34” Diameter Canopy
The hanging kit for the 34” diameter Brooder canopy includes an 11” chain and two 6”
chains which must be attached as shown in Fig. 2. The two 6” chains connect (with S-
hooks) to the lower left and right side of the control enclosure, and to the suspension S-
hook. The 11” chain will attach (with an S-Hook) to the hole in the top of the suspension
rod directly opposite the controls enclosure, and to the suspension S-hook. Be sure to
crimp the ends of the S-hooks with wire pliers before hanging the unit. If your brooder
does not hang level, the length of the 11” chain may be adjusted to acquire levelness of the
brooder. Use a carpenter’s level to check that the brooder is level.
