▶ After using it to vacuum up liquids, do not tilt the vacuum cleaner and transport the vacuum cleaner in
the upright position only.
▶ Use the tapered adapter to connect both ends of the hose together conveniently for transport.
9 Troubleshooting
If a problem occurs, always observe the status indicator of the battery. See the section headed Status
indicators of the Liion battery.
If the trouble you are experiencing is not listed in this table or you are unable to rectify the problem by
yourself, contact Hilti Service.
Trouble or fault Possible cause Action to be taken
The battery doesn’t engage
with an audible click.
The retaining lug on the battery is
dirty.
▶ Clean the retaining lug and push
the battery in until it engages.
LEDs of the battery show
nothing
Battery faulty. ▶ Contact Hilti Service.
Reduced suction
performance.
The waste material container is full. ▶ Empty the waste material
container.
The suction hose or nozzle is
blocked.
▶ Clean the suction hose and
nozzle.
The filter is clogged ▶ Bump-clean the filter.

▶ Check that the filter is seated
correctly.
The suction hose or nozzle is dam-
aged.
▶ Replace the suction hose or
nozzle.
The suction hose is not engaged. ▶ Connect/disconnect the suction

LED shows, the vac-
uum cleaner switches off au-
tomatically.
The waste material container is full. ▶
Empty the waste material
container.
LED shows: The air
speed in the suction hose has
dropped below 20 m/s.
The dust bag is full. ▶ Change the dust bag.
The filter element is clogged with
dirt or dust.
▶ If the automatic filter cleaning
system is deactivated, activate
it and allow the vacuum cleaner
to run for 30 seconds.
The suction hose or dust hood on
the electric tool is blocked.
▶ Clean the suction hose and the
dust hood.
The hose diameter setting is incor-
rect.
▶ Set the hose diameter.
Dust is blown out of the appli-
ance.
The filter element is not fitted cor-
rectly.
▶ Correctly re-install the filter

The filter element is damaged. ▶ Install a new filter element.

Slight electric shocks are felt. Electrostatic discharge. ▶ Increase the air humidity.
▶ Operate the vacuum cleaner in
ECO mode.
