6 Operation
CAUTION
Risk of injury by short circuit or falling battery!
Before inserting the battery, make sure that the contacts on the battery and the contacts on the product
are free of foreign matter.
Make sure that the battery always engages correctly.
Observe the safety instructions and warnings in this documentation and on the product.
6.1 Cutting 3
WARNING
Risk of injury! Risk of serious injury during the cutting operation.
During the cutting operation great care must be taken to ensure that the hands and fingers are kept well
clear of the cutting head.
For cutting in tight spaces or where access is difficult, the cutting head can be rotated through 350°
about its longitudinal axis.
1. Rotate the cutting head to the desired working position.
2. Place the cable to be cut in the cutting head or, respectively, guide the cutting head into position around
the cable to be cut.
Always make sure that the cable to be cut is fully inserted into the cutting head.
Do not exceed the maximum cutting capacity.
Do not attempt to cut a cable that cannot be inserted fully into the cutting head.
3. Press the control switch.
4. Keep the control switch pressed until the cutting head begins to release the pressure. The is accompanied
by a clearly audible “pop”.
When the cut has been made, the product returns automatically to its initial position.
6.2 Making the cut (cable connected) 4
1. Remove the locking pin.
2. Flip the cutting head up.
3. Lubricate the cutting-head joint and the guides of the locking pin.
4. Cup the tool round the cable to be cut and flip the cutting head down.
Do not exceed the maximum cutting capacity.
Do not attempt to cut a cable that cannot be inserted fully into the cutting head.
5. Lock the cutting head with the locking pin.
A mechanical click confirms correct locking.
6. Press the control switch.
7. Keep the control switch pressed until pressure relief of the cutting tool begins.
When the cut has been made, the product returns automatically to its initial position.
7 Care and maintenance

Always remove the battery before carrying out care and maintenance tasks!
Care and maintenance of the tool
Carefully remove stubborn dirt.
Clean the air vents carefully with a dry brush.
