5.7 Setting the bevel cut angle 5
The maximum cutting angle for bevel cuts is 50° and can be preset to
45° or 22.5° by means of the knob. You can turn the knob only when
the base plate is at a cutting angle of 0°.
1. Use the knob to pre-set an angle of 45° or 22.5°, if applicable.
2. Release the clamping lever.
3. Set the cut angle.
4. Tighten the clamping lever.
5.8 Installing fence 6
The fence is useful for making precision cuts guided by the edge of the
workpiece, for example to rip strips of equal width.
The fence can be fitted on either side of the base plate. The two-arm
fence can be fitted to the large base plate only.
1. Push the fence into the guide.
2. Set the width for the cut.
3. Tighten the clamping screw.
5.9 Installing guide rail adapter 7
When you use a Hilti guide rail, a saw with a small base plate has to be fitted
with a guide rail adapter (accessory).
1. Remove the fence, if fitted.
2. Hook the base plate into the rear retaining lugs of the guide rail adapter.
3. Engage the base plate into the front lock of the guide rail adapter.
To remove the guide rail adapter, press front lock (A) and remove
the guide rail adapter.

Install the scaffold hook as shown in the illustration and tighten it securely.
