11.1. Configuring Encoding Parameters
11.1.1. Before Starting
1. Make sure that the HDD has been installed. If not, install an HDD and initialize it by going to
Menu > HDD > General.

2. Click the Advanced tab and select HDD storage mode (Menu > HDD > Advanced > Storage
Mode).
• If the HDD mode is Quota , set the maximum record capacity.
• If the HDD mode is Group , set the HDD group.

3. Enter the Record Parameters interface to configure the encoding parameters, Menu >
Record > Parameters.
