for steps to configure scene change detection.
Sensitivity in the Rule Settings ranges from 1 to 100, and the higher the value, the more easily the
change of scene will trigger the alarm.
For analog cameras, the line crossing detection and intrusion detection conflict with other VCA
detection such as sudden scene change detection, face detection, and vehicle detection. You can
enable only one function. If you have enabled line crossing detection or intrusion detection, when
you enable sudden scene change detection and apply the settings, the following attention box pops
up to remind you there are not enough resources and asks you to disable the enabled VCA type(s) of
the selected channel(s).

9.16 PIR Alarm
Purpose
A PIR (Passive Infrared) alarm is triggered when an intruder moves within the detector’s field of view. The
heat energy dissipated by a person or any other warm blooded creature such as a dog, cat, etc. can be
detected.
1. Go to Menu > Cameras Setup > VCA.
2. Select the camera for which to configure the VCA.
3. Check the Save VCA Picture checkbox to save the captured VCA detection pictures.
4. Set the VCA detection type to PIR Alarm.
5. Click Set to configure the trigger channel, arming schedule, linkage action, and PTZ linking for the PIR
alarm.
6. Click Rule Settings to set the rules. Refer to
9.1 Face Detection
for instructions.
7. Click Apply to activate the settings.
