Installation Program
Overview
This is the Installation Guide for the Enterprise & Single Machine
Edition of AIR ID. The SETUP.EXE application automatically
detects your Windows operating system and determines which
components and options are appropriate for this installation. Please
take time to review the README.TXT file for last minute changes to
this procedure and manual.
Once the software has been installed, you can then proceed to the
‘AIR ID User’s Guide’ for information on program usage.
This manual assumes the user is familiar with the Microsoft
Windows 95/98/NT environment and has appropriate privileges to
install applications on the system.
System Requirements
• 486-DX33 with CD ROM drive
• 32 MB RAM (20 MB hard disk space available for installation
overhead and AIR ID software).
• 1 available serial port (unused by other devices)
• Microsoft Windows 95, 98 or NT v 4.0 SP3/4/5/6 or Windows
2000
• For Windows NT/2000, the installer must have administrative
rights to access and modify AIR ID files
Single or Enterprise Installation
This Installation Guide will allow you to install AIR ID for Single
(stand-alone) or Enterprise installations. Prior to installation, you
should determine whether you require centralized management.
Users and Enrollment Considerations
The AIR ID product requires users to be enrolled into a database to
assign user names to specific AIR ID badge addresses. This
database also contains other important information required by the
application. The Single and Enterprise installation handle this
