Chapter 3- Single Machine Installation
Overview
The Single Machine installation differs from this Enterprise
installation in that the AIR ID database is stored locally at each
machine. This choice must be used for systems that are not
connected to the network. It is also a good choice when relatively
few machines are protected with AIR ID or when users are
responsible for the administration of their own machines.
Both Windows NT/2000 Workstation and Windows 95/98 users will
use the common ‘Single Machine Installation’ section.
NOTE: For Windows 9x client installation there is a section of the
installation that may take several minutes. This portion is run in a
DOS mode, with a black background screen. This section checks
and converts Windows applications to be compatible to run under
Windows profile mode.
