Login Files
Select this option if you would like both a Client and Server
installation on this workstation. This option will install the
Login GINA components that will use the user database
that is being installed locally for this 'server'. You should
have a Base Unit attached at this point if you select this
option.
Application Files
Select this option to install the AIR ID application files on
this server. This component is necessary to perform
administrative functions from this workstation. It is not
required that you install these files on this machine as the
database may be accessed by the AIR ID application files
residing on any machine on the network. However, it is
recommended as you may want to do some preliminary
setup of the database before any Clients are installed.
Database Files
If you are upgrading from a previous version of AIR ID and
you would like to keep your existing database of users,
make sure you deselect the Database Files checkbox. If
your database files are from version 2.4 or below then you
must be sure to select the Database Files checkbox so that
these file will be replaced since the version 2.4 and below
format is not compatible with AIR ID Version 2.5 and above.
Your database of users is maintained in the file ‘AIR
IDss.RFI’. Note that a backup will be made to the AIR
IDss.BAK file. After completing the installation of the
upgrade, you may copy this backup file over to the original
(AIR IDss.RFI). This will restore all previous users. Again
this assumes the database files are of a compatible version.
Service Files
The Service Files checkbox must be selected for the
Server installation.
Press Next to proceed to the next screen.
