20. Calculator
The Hexaglot Attaché can also be used as a calculator. Press MENU and select Calculator
from the program selection list. Press enter to enter calculator mode. "M“ appears in the
upper left hand corner of the display and "0.“ in the lower right hand corner. In calculator
mode, the secondary lettering of the keys is automatically used. The content of the calcula-
tor memory (M) is displayed in the second line. Below right the entry or sum calculated is
shown.
Calculating with the Hexaglot Attaché
The operation is just as with any standard calculator. Addition (+), subtraction (–), multiplica-
tion (×) and division (÷) are available as calculator functions. The percent (%) and square
root functions are also available for more complex calculations. There are also the following
functions available:
Degree = degree (old)
New degree = gon
Radian = circular measure
You can select the function required with D/G/R. The calculator also offers other mathe-
matical functions which can be accessed with the middle display key Function. To call up
the individual functions press or to select the function and press , followed by
enter.
Using the calculator memory
Individual calculation operations in the input line have no bearing on the calculator memory.
Add or subtract the value currently in the calculator input line to/from the memory using add
(M+) or subtract (M–). Use the value stored in memory in the current calculation using (MR).
The symbol "M“ appears in the top line, next to the current memory contents. Press (MC) to
delete the memory contents.
21. Time of day
You can call up local time, GMT or an overview of the month via "Clock" on the menu.
Based on the local time which you set, the device will automatically calculate GMT for 200
cities throughout the world.
Local time
The Hexaglot Attaché can show you the current time in any country you choose, as well as
the date and day of the week.
TIP:
If you enter the first letter of the country you are looking for, you will immediately find the
first country in the list which begins with this letter.
Press the left display key Mode to decide the type of display: the time of day can be shown
in 12 hour or 24 hour mode.
TIP:
The abbreviation AM stands for time before 12 midday and PM stands for time after 12
midday.
