NOTE:
The preview can only be activated when the incremental suggestion list is switched on and
the "condensed list mode" option is switched off.
9. Condensed list mode: Switches on or off a shortened list display, i.e. results with the
same spelling are combined in one entry in the condensed list mode. The entry can be
expanded if necessary. You will recognise combined list entries by the preceding sym-
bol +. To expand the list entry please highlight it and press enter. You will then see all
entries with the same spelling listed singly.

NOTE:
The condensed list mode can only be activated when the incremental suggestion list is
switched on and the "preview" option is switched off.
10. Forms/synonyms: You can decide here whether or not forms or synonyms should
generally be consulted. If the function is switched off the device will only find pure
headwords, similar to a printed dictionary.
11. Show forms:You can decide here whether or not forms should also be shown in the
incremental suggestions list. When the function is switched on the device will, for ex-
ample, trace the English past tense "went" back to the infinitive "go".

12. Show synonyms: Here you can decide whether or not synonyms should be shown in
the incremental suggestions list and hit list.

13. Show copyright: Here you can decide whether or not the source of a dictionary entry,
i.e. from which of the dictionaries the entry comes, should be inserted in the entry dis-
play.

14. Spell check: This activates the spell check or search for variants in case your search
word is not found in the dictionary. When spell check is on and the search word is un-
known, the device will try to find words with a similar spelling. This is unless there are
no other words with identical beginnings. In this case the word which begins with the
same letters will be shown. E.g. The search for "baster" in the English dictionary will
also find the entry for "buster" when the spell check function is turned on. When the
