Overview
The MSA 1040 arrays come integrated with web browser and CLI based software for storage and RAID
management, setup, configuration, and troubleshooting. This reduces the cost of ownership by reducing
the training and technical expertise necessary to install and maintain your HP storage solution.
The SPOCK database provides interoperability information for thousands of components and millions of
component combinations. It is available to all users at:

Server Compatibility

Supports most HP ProLiant and BladeSystems including

HP c-Class Blade Servers

Industry Standard servers
support
Supports most multi-vendor industry standard servers. HP requires the Third-Party Server to be
logo'd and listed on the Microsoft Windows Server Catalog.

HP Storage Division recommends that the Third-Party Server Vendor is an active member of TSANet.

Non-HP servers will generally be supported if the HP storage stack is used. This includes supported
HP branded HBAs and drivers, and supported FC switches.

Web Browser support
The MSA 1040 supports target based management, and includes a Web interface and a telnet
interface, and require a web browser for management.
The MSA 1040 requires Microsoft Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, and Google Chrome.
