User Manual – 7/12
In the Output tab, select the Hercules Wireless Audio sound card and then close the
window.
Your system is now ready: you can play all of your music on your Hercules wireless
speaker.
Note: If you wish to use your computer's sound card again, simply disconnect the USB
dongle from your computer.
2.3. Remote control
Your speaker includes a radio frequency remote control, which lets you avoid having to
point it at the speaker (as is the case with an infrared remote control). Your remote control
will function if you are within a radius of 5 meters from the speaker.
Your remote control lets you control your computer and your speaker from a distance.
The remote control features a magnet, making it easy to attach the remote control to the
speaker when moving the speaker.
The remote control features 7 buttons, with the following functions:
- Play/pause (10): starts or pauses playback of the music software that you are using
on your computer.
- Previous/Next (11) and (12): goes to the previous/next track in your playlist.
- Volume +/Volume (13) and (14): increases or decreases the volume.
- Mute (15): cuts off the volume.
- Standby mode (16): puts the speaker in standby mode.
Note 1: Standby mode does not entirely cut off the speaker's power supply. To ensure that
the speaker does not consume any battery power, you must press the On/Off button (6) on
the speaker.
Note 2: The playback controls function with the vast majority of music players, including
iTunes, Windows Media Player, VLC, Winamp and Spotify (this list is non-exhaustive).
However, the controls do not function for playback from a Web browser (Internet Explorer,
Firefox, Safari...). In some cases, the audio player's window must be active in order for the
playback controls to be functional.
Note 3: You can also control the volume on the speaker using the Volume + (2) and
Volume (3) buttons.
