User Manual – 13/44
Note: In order to view these identifiers, you will have to unplug the adapters composing your existing network
(except for the adapter connected via an Ethernet cable to your computer); you will then be asked to plug
them back in again afterwards.
You can add up to 6 adapters, although of course you can add only one, two or as many as you wish out of
the 6. If you need to add more than 6 adapters, you must download the Hercules ePlug Station software
available from our website: http://www.hercules.com.
- Click Next to move on to the next step.
4. Ethernet connection and electrical connection of your new Hercules ePlug 85 adapters
- Connect the Ethernet cable to the Ethernet plug on
your new adapter.
- Plug the new adapter into an electrical outlet
located near the device to be connected to the
network.
In order to optimize the transfer of data on the
HomePlug network, avoid plugging your adapter
directly into a power strip.
- Connect the other end of the Ethernet cable to the
computer, modem, game console or any other
network device (here, a computer).
- Repeat this procedure for each of the adapters you wish to add.
- Remember to plug the adapters of your existing network back into their electrical outlets (as you have
unplugged them in order to view the identifiers).
