4. EMERGENCY AND FIRST AID PROCEDURES.
Eye: Immediately flush victim’s eyes with large quantities of water, for 15 minutes, holding the eyelids apart.
Get medical attention if irritation persists.
Skin: Wash with soap and water. Remove contaminated clothing and do not reuse until laundered. If persistent
irritation occurs, get medical attention.
Inhalation:
Remove the victim to fresh air, if experiencing problem breathing, give oxygen. Give artificial
respiration if not breathing, Get Medical attention
. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.
5. FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES
Flashpoint: 104°F (40°C) PMCC
Flammable Limits: LEL 1.0, LEL 7.0
Autoignition Temperature: Not applicable
Extinguishing Media: Water fog, Foam, Dry Chemical, Carbon Dioxide
Unusual Fire or Explosion Hazards: When heated above flash point, material will release flammable vapors
which can burn or be explosive in confined spaces if ignited. Do not mix with strong oxidants such as liquid
chlorine or concentrated oxygen.
Special Fire-Fighting Instructions: Firefighters and others, who might be exposed to products of combustion,
should wear positive pressure self-contained breathing apparatus and full protective clothing.
Hazardous Combustion Products: Carbon monoxide and Carbon Dioxide.
6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES
Spills/Leak Control: Eliminate all sources of ignition and ventilate the area. Soak up with non-combustible
absorbent material like clay or vermiculite. Place in marked containers for proper disposal.
Keep products out of sewers and waterways.
7. HANDLING AND STORAGE
Handling: Keep away from heat and open flames. Keep containers tightly closed. Use with adequate ventilation
Storage: Store in a cool, dry place with adequate ventilation. Do not store in temperatures above 120 deg. F.
Store large quantities in buildings designed for storage of NFPA combustible liquids.
