Application
Clean: Before applying, use a leaf blower or broom, remove any dust, dirt, debris, and foreign material that may prevent proper
adhesion. Treat algae or moss. Ensure roof is completely clean and dry before application of sealer.
Prep: Carefully inspect area to be sealed. Repair all cracks, breaks, splits and holes with Henry® 212 All Purpose Crystal Clear
Sealant. Allow all repairs to form a skin and set up from 2-24 hours, depending on depth of fill and weather conditions before
applying sealer.
Apply: Do not over apply. Mix sealer thoroughly. Sealer should only be applied to a roof in sound condition, which is clean, dry,
frost-free, and fully prepared as described above. Sealer is an opaque white color while wet to aid in application and will dry clear
when applied correctly. Apply sealer on a sunny day when roof is warm to the touch. If the roof is too hot to touch, >140 °F (>60 °C),
it is too hot to seal.
Sealer should be applied in one thin pass, with just enough sealer to mist granules or approved substrates, to avoid drips and runs,
especially on steep-slope roofs and in overlapping areas. Over-application of sealer may result in streaks or uneven drying. Over-
application of sealer does not hinder its ability to protect the roof and is only cosmetic in nature. Dry time is typically between 1-4
hours, dependent on weather conditions.
Pump Sprayer: If spraying, a new or thoroughly cleaned garden type pump sprayer is recommended for ease of application. This
will help avoid clogs and spraying issues. Pump the sprayer vigorously prior to use and during use. Adjust the nozzle to the fan,
wide spray position. Apply a test area to initiate flow and obtain feel for pressure/spray pattern. Evenly apply sealer in a single light
mist.
Roller or Brush: If rolling or brushing, a 1/2" nap roller or soft-bristle paint brush is recommended. Evenly apply sealer in a single
thin pass.
