IMPORTANT SAFETY
INSTRUCTIONS
CAUTION
• NEVER wrap the power cord around the
appliance. Any pulling, twisting, severe folding
or bending can damage the cord, especially
at the point of entry into the unit, which may
rupture the cord and can cause an electrical short or
other failure.
• Regularly inspect the cord. DO NOT use an appliance
with a twisted, bent or otherwise damaged cord, or
if the appliance receives power irregularly. If cord is damaged, or for
irregular power issues, refer to instructions in the WARNING section
further below.
STORAGE
• Appliance should be disconnected and allowed to cool before storage.
DO NOT apply stress or tension to the cord’s point of entry into the unit.
During storage, cord should remain loose with no tight bends or folds,
and appliance should be placed in a secure, dry location out of reach of
children.
When using electrical appliances, especially when children are present,
basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:
READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING.
KEEP AWAY FROM WATER.
DANGER: As with most electrical appliances, electrical parts
are electrically live even when the switch is off.
To reduce the risk of death by electric shock:
1. Always “unplug it” immediately after using.
2. DO NOT use while bathing.
3. DO NOT place or store this appliance where it can fall or be pulled
into a tub or sink.
4. DO NOT place in or drop into water or other liquid.
5. If an appliance falls into water, “unplug it” immediately. DO NOT
reach into the water.
6. DO NOT use an appliance with a twisted, bent or otherwise damaged
cord.
WARNING: To reduce the risk of burns,
electrocution, fire, or injury to persons:
1. An appliance should never be left unattended when plugged in. Turn
off the switch and unplug the electrical cord when not in use.
2. Close supervision is necessary when this appliance is used by, on, or
near children or individuals with certain disabilities.
3. Use this appliance only for its intended use as described in this
manual. DO NOT use attachments not recommended by the
manufacturer.
4. Never operate this appliance if it has a damaged cord or plug, if it is
not working properly, or if it has been dropped, damaged or dropped
into water. Return the appliance to a service center for examination
and repair.
NOTE: PRO Beauty Tools does not have an authorized service center.
However, if this appliance is still under warranty, return it to the PRO
Beauty Tools Consumer Service Department for replacement.
5. Keep the cord away from heated surfaces. DO NOT pull, twist or
wrap the cord around the appliance.
6. Never use while sleeping.
7. Never drop or insert any object into any opening.
8. DO NOT use outdoors or operate where aerosol (spray) products are
being used or where oxygen is being administered.
9. DO NOT use an extension cord with this appliance.
10. This flat iron and its plates are hot when in use. DO NOT let eyes and
bare skin touch heated surfaces. Use the handle.
11. DO NOT place the heated appliance directly on any surface while it is
hot or plugged in.
12. DO NOT operate with a voltage converter.
13. This is a dual-voltage appliance; before plugging it in, read the
information about dual voltage contained in the “Operating
Instructions” section of this manual.

USER MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
MAINTENANCE
Your appliance is virtually maintenance-free. No lubrication is needed. Keep
heated surfaces clean and free of dust, dirt, and hair spray. If cleaning
becomes necessary, disconnect the appliance from the power source and
wipe the exterior with a damp cloth. If the cord becomes twisted, untwist
prior to use. WARNING: If any malfunction occurs, do not attempt to repair
it yourself. This appliance has no user-serviceable parts.
STORAGE
Unplug appliance when not in use.
Allow the appliance to cool and store out of reach of children in a safe, dry
location. Never wrap the cord around the appliance since this will cause the
cord to wear prematurely and break. Handle cord carefully for longer life
and avoid jerking, bending sharply, twisting or straining cord, especially at
plug connections.

ALMACENAMIENTO
• El aparato estilizador debe desconectarse y dejar enfriar antes de
almacenarlo. NO aplique fuerza o tensión en el punto de entrada del
cable de la unidad. Durante el almacenamiento, el cable debe quedar
suelto, sin dobleces o pliegues apretados, y colocado en un lugar seguro,
seco y fuera del alcance de los niños.
Al utilizar artefactos eléctricos, especialmente en presencia de niños, deben
seguirse siempre precauciones de seguridad básicas, entre las que se
incluyen las siguientes:

PELIGRO: Al igual que en el caso de la mayoría de los
artefactos eléctricos, las piezas eléctricas siguen teniendo corriente aunque
el interruptor se encuentre apagado.
Para reducir el riesgo de muerte por electrocución:
1. Siempre “desenchufe” el artefacto después de usarlo.
2. NO lo use mientras se baña.
3. NO lo deje o guarde donde haya riesgo de que se caiga o lo tiren en
la bañera o el lavabo.

5. Si un artefacto se cae al agua, “desenchúfelo”
inmediatamente. NO meta la mano en el agua para sacarlo.
6. NO use un artefacto si se le ha torcido, doblado o dañado de alguna
manera el cable eléctrico.
ADVERTENCIA: Para reducir el riesgo de

1. Nunca debe dejarse desatendido un artefacto cuando está enchufado.
Apague el interruptor y desenchufe el cable eléctrico cuando no esté

4. Nunca utilice este artefacto si el cable o el enchufe están dañados, si
no funciona adecuadamente, o si se ha caído, dañado o sumergido en
agua. Devuelva el artefacto a un centro de servicio para que lo revisen
y lo reparen.
NOTA: PRO Beauty Tools no cuenta con un centro de servicio autorizado.
Sin embargo, si el artefacto todavía se encuentra bajo garantía,
devuélvalo al Departamento de servicio a los consumidores de PRO
Beauty Tools para que se lo cambien.
5. Mantenga el cable alejado de las superficies calientes. NO jale, tuerza
ni enrolle el cable alrededor del artefacto.
6. Nunca lo use mientras duerme.
7. Nunca introduzca ningún objeto en ninguna abertura.
8. NO lo utilice al aire libre o en lugares donde se están usando aerosoles
o se está administrando oxígeno.
9. NO utilice este artefacto con una extensión de cable.
10. Las placas esán calientes cuando el alaciador está en uso. NO permita
que los ojos y la piel desnuda entren en contacto con superficies
calientes. Use el mango.
11. NO coloque el artefacto caliente directamente sobre ninguna
superficie mientras está caliente o enchufado.
12. NO utilice este artefacto con un conversor de tensión.
13. Éste es un artefacto con tensión doble; antes de enchufarlo, lea la
información acerca de la tensión doble incluida en la sección de este
manual titulada “Instrucciones de uso”.

INSTRUCCIONES DE MANTENIMIENTO PARA EL USUARIO
MANTENIMIENTO
Su artefacto prácticamente no requiere mantenimiento. No necesita
lubricación. Mantenga las superficies que se calientan limpias y libres
de polvo, suciedad y aerosoles para el cabello. Si es necesario limpiar el
artefacto, desenchúfelo de la fuente de energía y limpie el exterior con
un trapo húmedo. Si el cable está retorcido, desenrédelo antes de usar
el artefacto. ADVERTENCIA: Si el artefacto no funciona bien, no intente
repararlo usted mismo. Este artefacto no tiene piezas que puedan ser
reparadas por el usuario.
ALMACENAMIENTO
Cuando el artefacto no esté en uso, “desenchúfelo”.
Deje que el artefacto se enfríe y guárdelo fuera del alcance de los niños
en un lugar seguro y seco. Nunca enrolle el cable alrededor del artefacto,
ya que esto puede hacer que el cable se gaste en forma prematura y
se rompa. Manipule el cable con cuidado para que dure más y evite
tironearlo, doblarlo agudamente, retorcerlo o forzarlo, especialmente
donde se conecta con el enchufe.
