OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
This appliance is intended for household use only.
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other).
As a safety feature, this plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way.
If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does
not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this
safety feature.
SHINE-ENHANCING CERAMIC PLATE TECHNOLOGY
Ceramic’s far-infrared heat with shine-enhancing technology infused
into plates penetrates hair quickly and evenly from the inside out,
straightening hair in a fraction of time with superior results.
AUTOMATIC SHUT-OFF
Your straightener has an Automatic Shut-off feature. Should you forget
to turn off the straightener, it will automatically shut off after an hour.
AUTOMATIC WORLDWIDE DUAL VOLTAGE
This appliance will automatically adjust to the proper voltage. In North
America, connect the plug into any outlet. Outside North America,
use a plug adapter attachment of the proper configuration for the
appropriate power outlet.
STYLING TIPS
• Straighteners should be used only on clean, dry hair.
• To begin styling, plug the straightener into an electrical outlet.
Press the “On / Off” Button for a couple of seconds to turn the
straightener on.
• To increase or lower the heat setting, touch the thermostat icon. See
figure 1. Straightener will beep when heat setting has been reached.
CAUTION: When using for the first time, begin with the LOWEST
setting. Please read all instructions carefully before using.
• Once plates are heated, separate a 1-inch section of hair. Gently
place hair between the hot smoothing plates and clamp down firmly
on the handles.
• Leave the straightener in fine hair for 5 to 8 seconds and for 10 to
15 seconds in thick hair.
• Carefully slide the straightener along the isolated section, making
sure the hair is heated and straightened all the way to the ends. The
ends will probably require less heat than the hair that grows closer
to the scalp.
• For best results, hold end of hair while smoothing the hair section.
• To remove hair from the straightener, simply release pressure and
allow the hair to gently slip out from the smoothing plates.
• The smoothing process does not require overlapping; separate each
section of hair and work on it as indicated above.
• Allow hair to cool before combing or brushing.
• Repeat the process until you have achieved the look you desire.
• When styling is complete, turn the straightener off by pressing and
holding the On / Off Button until it turns off. Unplug it from the
electrical outlet, and let it cool completely before storing.
IMPORTANT: The high-performance heater in this unit contains an oil-
based protective coating that will burn off during the first few minutes
of initial use and may emit smoke and/or an odor. You may also hear
a humming noise during use. This is normal and is not a cause for
concern.

Este artefacto se ajusta automáticamente a la tensión adecuada. En
Norteamérica, conecte el enchufe en cualquier tomacorriente. Fuera
de Norteamérica, use un adaptador de enchufe de la configuración
adecuada para el tomacorriente que corresponda.
CONSEJOS DE MODELADO
• Las pinzas de alisado y suavizado deben usarse sólo con el cabello
limpio y seco.
• Para encender y empezar a estilar, conecte el alisador en un
tomacorriente. Para encender el alisador presione el botón de
encendido y apagado por dos segundos.
• Para aumentar o disminuir el ajuste de calor, presione el ícono del
termostato. Vea figura 1. Al alcanzar el nivel de calor el alisador
emitirá una señal.
PRECAUCIÓN: Cuando la use por primera vez, seleccione la posición
MÁS BAJA. Por favor lea cuidadosamente todas las instrucciones antes
de usar este artefacto.
• Una vez que las placas estén calientes separe una seción de 1
pulgada de cabello, suavemente ponga el cabello entre las placas
alisadoras y presione el cabello con el alaciador firmemente.
• Para cabello fino o delgado mantenga el cabello en las placas del
alaciador de 5 a 8 segundos, de 10 a 15 segundos si el cabello es
grueso.
• Deslícelas cuidadosamente sobre la sección de cabello, asegurándose
de que el cabello se caliente y se alise en toda su extensión hasta
las puntas. Las puntas probablemente requieran menos calor que el
cabello que crece cerca del cuero cabelludo.
• Para mejores resultados, sostenga las puntas mientras suaviza una
sección del cabello.
• Para remover el cabello del alaciador, simplemente deje de presionar
y permita que el cabello suavemente se deslize de las placas
alisadoras.
• El procedimiento de alaciar no requiere empalme; separe cada

anteriormente.
• Deje que el cabello se enfríe antes de peinarlo o cepillarlo.
• Repita el proceso hasta alcanzar el estilo deseado.
• Después de completar el estilo, mantenga pulsado el botón de
encendido / apagado hasta que la pinza se apague. Desenchufe del
toma corriente eléctrico y deje que se enfríe completamente antes
de almacenarla.
IMPORTANTE: El calentador de alto rendimiento en esta unidad
contiene una capa protectora a base de aceite que se quemará durante
los primeros minutos de su uso inicial y puede emitir humo u olor.
También podria escucharse un zumbido durante el uso. Esto es normal
y no es motivo de preocupación.
