Installation:
It is recommended to start installing in this order: Gas Tank – T-case – Transmission – Engine – Radiator.
1. Place Floor Jack under the center of the Transmission Skid Plate, roll it under transmission and raise
it into place
2. Line the front slots of the skid plate up with the crossmember stock threaded holes. Fasten with M8
bolts. If the Engine skid is also installed, unscrew the rear M8’s holding it and insert the front lip of the
transmission skid between the engine skid and the cross member. – LEAVE IT LOOSE
3. Raise the skid into place, lining the rear ½” holes up with the stock holes of the t-case crossmember.
Fasten with a ½” x 2 ½” long bolts using washers and lock nuts. The fender washers go on the top of the
cross member. – LEAVE IT LOOSE
IMPORTANT: Do not overtighten the long bolts – the top of the cross member is soft
4. Do the same procedure for the center side of the transmission skid plate – this time installing shorter
bolts (1 ½”) with only lock washers. – LEAVE IT LOOSE
5. Center the skid plate and tighten all bolts
