• Ensure that the working area is clean, well
ventilated and always well lit.
• Never use the tool whilst under the influence
of alcohol or drugs.
• Repair work must be carried out exclusively by
authorized persons.
• Labels on the tool must always be kept legible.
The user is responsible for ensuring that the
labels detailing max. load, serial no. and article
no. are not damaged and easy to read.
• Only use high-quality premium hydraulic oil (see
p. 14).
Never use unsuitable media. Contaminated and/
or unsuitable medium can cause malfunction of
the two-stage foot pump and can hence cause
damage to body, health and property.
• Ensure that no unauthorized persons and/or un
-
necessary equipment is in your working area.
• Hydraulic oils can cause skin rashes and can oth
-
erwise damage health. Avoid prolonged contact
with skin. Wash thoroughly after every contact.
• Check tight fit of the air hose connections.
• Do not use defective, worn or inferior-quality hoses
or adaptors.
• Uncontrollably moving hoses may cause severe
injuries.
• Never carry the tool by the hose.
• The hydraulic hose must not come into contact
with hot or sharp parts or become damaged in
any other way. It is to be laid in such a way that it
does not constitute a trip hazard.
5. Dangers emanating from
the tool
Before each use, check the HAZET tool for full func-
tionality. Do not use the tool if its functional efficiency
cannot be ensured or if damage is detected. If it is
determined that the tool is not in good working order
but the tool is used in spite of this, there is a danger
of serious damage to body, health and property.
• All service or repair work must be carried out by
qualified personnel only. In order to guarantee long
term operational safety, only original spare parts
must be used.
• Do not remove safety devices / guards and/or
housing parts.
• Never operate the tool if a protective cover is
missing or if not all of the safety devices / guards
are fitted and in perfect condition.
• For safety reasons any modification of HAZET
tools is strictly forbidden. Any modification of the
tool will result in immediate exclusion from express
or implied warranty and liability.
• Keep children away from hydraulic tools. Un
-
attended tools could be used by unauthorized
persons and could cause injury to them or to other
persons.
• This hydraulic tool must not come into contact with
parts carrying live voltage.
• Pay attention to the load. The maximum force
must be ≤ the permitted load specifications. The
apparatus / machines to be operated must be able
to handle the load.
• Overloading can cause failure of the hydraulic
system and can hence cause damage to body,
health or property.
• Only use spare parts, attachments and acces
-
sories recommended by the manufacturer.
• Avoid unintentional activation.
• Only use the tool if it is in good condition.
• Whilst using the tool, it must be ensured that
the hollow piston cylinder and the apparatus
and machines that are to be operated are within
sight of the operator.
