1.Withtheenginerunningonaatpavedsurface,
sprayastreamofwaterinfrontoftherightrear
wheel(Figure52).

cutterblade,cleaningouttheclippings.

2.Whennomoreclippingscomeout,stopthewater
andmovethemowertoadryarea.
3.Runtheengineforafewminutestodrythehousing
topreventitfromrusting.

Petrolvaporscanexplode.
•Donotstorepetrolmorethan30days.
•Donotstorethemowerinanenclosurenear
anopename.
•Allowtheenginetocoolbeforestoringit.
1.Onthelastrefuelingoftheyear,addfuelstabilizer
tothefuelasdirectedbytheenginemanufacturer.
2.Runthemoweruntiltheenginestopsfromrunning
outoffuel.
3.Allowtheenginetorununtilitstops.Whenyoucan
nolongerstarttheengine,itissufcientlydry.
4.Disconnecttheleadfromthesparkplug.
5.Removethesparkplug,add1oz.(30ml)ofoil
throughthesparkplughole,andpullthestarterrope
slowlyseveraltimestodistributeoilthroughoutthe
cylindertopreventcylindercorrosionduringthe
off-season.
6.Looselyinstallthesparkplug.
7.Tightenallnuts,bolts,andscrews.
8.Chargethebatteryfor24hours,thenunplugthe
batterychargerandstorethemowerinanunheated
area.Ifyoumuststorethemowerinaheatedarea,
youmustchargethebatteryevery90days.
