Acceptable Visual Appearance
✓ Melt bead flattened by cold ring.
✓ No gaps or voids.
✓ Good alignment between pipe and
fitting.
Unacceptable Visual Appearance
✓ Melt bead not flattened against the
fitting/cold ring.
✓ Improper insertion depth; no cold
ring.
✓ Excessive heating.
✓ Misalignment.
