FEATURES & BENEFITS
CONSTRUCTION
1-1/4" Schedule 40 hot-dipped galvanized steel pipe and
fittings along with powder-coated cast-iron 9"diameter
floor flange and 11" stainless steel receptor provide an
additional corrosion resistance in a long lasting product.
VALVES
Eyewash and shower ball valves are designed to make the
flushing of fluid remains occur with the simple pull of a lever
or push of a stainless steel flag. Both valves come
equipped with stainless steel ball and stem to provide
greater protection against corrosion and breakage.
STRAINERS/FILTERS
Chrome-plated brass in-line 50 x 50 mesh water strainer
prevents debris from reaching the eyewash so the unit
stays functioning at its best. Strainer is easily serviceable.
QUALITY CONTROL
Eye/face wash and valve assembly is pre-built and fully
water/pressure tested to ensure no leaks and proper
function which ultimately reduces installation time.
EYE/FACE WASH
AXION MSR? eye/face wash head (patent pending) uses
an inverted directional laminar flow to sweep
contaminants away from the vulnerable nasal cavity.
SHOWER HEAD
AXION MSR? ABS plastic drench shower head uses a
hydrodynamic design to give equal distribution of water
throughout the entire footprint of flow.
ANTIMICROBIALLY TREATED
AXION MSR? eye/face head is antimicrobially treated using
the natural protection of silver. Impregnating these
components with silver helps protect the head against the
growth of mold and mildew on the treated components.
AXION MSR? is the only eye/face product on the market to
feature antimicrobial protection.
OPTIONS
Alarm: Model 9001, 120 VAC emergency alarm and light
system. Buzzer and flashing light are activated by a double
pole, double throw flow switch.
Alarm: Model 9001EXP 120 VAC Class 1, Division 2, Groups
B, C, and D emergency alarm system. Buzzer and flashing
light are activated by an 1-1/4" double pole, double throw
flow switch.
Shower Test Kit: Model 9010 shower test kit includes holding
rod, upper corrosion-resistant ring to encircle the shower
head, and Tyvek waterproof tunnel shaped tube to guide
the water column to container or drain.
Universal Sign: Model 9020 green and yellow ABS plastic
3-sided high visibility sign.

SPECIFICATIONS
Model 8300-8309 combination shower and eye/face wash
shall include a stainless steel 11" round bowl, an
antimicrobially treated AXION MSR™ eye/face wash head
to help protect against the growth of mold and mildew on
the treated components, and shall feature inverted
directional laminar flow which achieves zero vertical velocity
supplied by an integral 3.7 gpm flow control. Unit shall also
include the AXION MSR™ hydrodynamic designed ABS
plastic shower head with 20 gpm flow control, chrome-plated
brass stay-open ball valve equipped with stainless steel ball
and stem, and chrome-plated brass in-line 50 x 50 mesh
water strainer. Unit shall also include Schedule 40 hot-dipped
galvanized steel pipe and fittings, powder-coated cast-iron 9"
diameter floor flange, self-adhesive high visibility safety green
and bright yellow stripes, universal sign, and 1-1/4" IPS supply.
APPLICATIONS
Where the eyes or body of any person may be exposed to
injurious or corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick
drenching or flushing of the eyes and body shall be provided
within the work area for immediate emergency use.
Emergency eyewash facilities and deluge showers shall be in
unobstructed and accessible locations that require no more
than 10 seconds for the injured person to reach.
Model 8300-8309 is certified by CSA & IAPMO to meet the
ANSI Z358.1-2009 Standard for Emergency Eyewash and
Shower Equipment.
