Chapter IV: System Settings
Under this heading, several settings can be changed to configure this device
4-1 WAN Setup
Click under system, WAN setup. (This feature is only available under Router AP mode)
4-1-1 Internet Connection Type: Static IP
Static IP users can manually setup the WAN IP w/ a static IP provided by the Internet Service Provider (ISP).
IP Address, IP Netmask (subnet mask), IP Gateway are all provided by the ISP. Contact them if you are not sure.
4-1-2 Internet Connection Type: Dynamic IP (Default)
Dynamic IP users receive all their IP, Subnet, Gateway and DNS settings from their ISP. This is the most common
setting used.
Hostname: (optional). If your ISP uses dynamic IP addresses, you may need to enter a hostname provided by the
ISP.
4-1-3 Internet Connection Type: PPPoE
PPPoE users need to manually enter their ISP provided username/password. Please contact them if you are not
sure.
