Tips for safe storage:
Always store in a moisture-free environment.
Never store the scope in places such as the passenger compartments of vehicles on hot days, the
high temperatures could adversely affect the lubricants and sealants.
Avoid direct sunlight that can enter the objective or the ocular lens, damage may result from the
concentration (burning effect) of the sun’s rays passing through the scope.
FLIP-UP COVERS
Selected riescopes are supplied with metal ip-up covers to protect the lenses when not in use.
Each cover has a key for attaching it to the riescope.
1. Open the ip-up cover and place it at the desired angle.
2. Locate the correct size key and insert into the grooves. The grooves
are located on the inner thread of the covers.
3. Turn the key until the cover is securely in place. If the cover is not in
the correct position, loosen slightly and adjust position.
4. The opening and closing resistance of the ip-up cover can be adjusted
by loosening or tightening the screw in the hinge.
Note: Ensure the ocular focus has been adjusted before installing the ip-up cover to the eyebell.
The cover may not end up in the desired position if the ocular is adjusted after the ip-up cover is
installed.
Note: The ip-up cover can also be installed on the sunshade.
