Macro Viruses
Macro viruses are programs written in the macro language, which is provided with Microsoft Office
software applications (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, etc.) To propagate, macro viruses exploit the
capabilities of the macro languages to transfer themselves from one infected file (document or
spreadsheet) to another. Excel Laroux virus is a kind of macro virus.

Windows Viruses
These viruses operate in the Windows operation systems. Unlike DOS-based viruses, Windows
viruses are very difficult to remove if they are in currently running files. Although ViRobot
Advanced Server can remove the viruses in the currently running files, you should use ViRobot for
DOS if the files cannot be removed due to system instability. Two Windows viruses are CIH and
Love.

Worm
Worms are programs that spread using a computer network. They don't usually change files or
sectors on disks. However, they have self-duplication function to create the identical program in the
system. Widely known I-Worms are spread by e-mail. Recently, the Internet worm has proved to be
destructive. These Internet worms include ExplorZip and Happy99.
