Master Boot Sector (Main Boot Sector) : A sector contains the partition
information of the disk. The system reads information during booting to find
bootable DOS sector.

Memory : Temporary storage that holds executable codes or data from hard disk
to run a program.

Recover : Delete the virus in the infected file and recover it to the original state.
␊␊
Service Pack : Upgrade that offers the latest release of software package without
additional charge.

Screen Saver : A Program which displays either a completely black image or a
constantly changing image on a computer monitor to prevent a stationary image
from burning into the phosphor of the screen.

Tray Icon : In Windows, there are programs running in the background with
programs you run on the system. These programs are indicated by the icons at
the bottom right of the screen, called Tray Icons.

Update : Act of developing or installing a new software version. For anti-virus
program, it refers to replacing the virus pattern with new and added virus removal
functions.

Virus Definition File : A file that provides information to antivirus program to
detect and repair viruses. Users downloads this file during update.

Write-protect Tab : A device, the presence or absence of which on the casing of a
recording medium (e.g. floppy disk) prevents writing on the medium.
