5. (Continued) Mounting to cap
Move the leg assemblies so they are flush against the cap. Use a tape measure to center the crossbar over the cap for best results.
Mark the location of the hole pattern of the legs onto the cap.
Move the legs aside and use a center punch to mark the center of the hole for drilling (optional).
Drill 3/8” diameter holes through the cap at the mark locations.
Reposition legs over drilled holes.
Place (2) 3/8”-16 x 2” hex bolts through the leg and cap. Secure with (2) spacers, (2) 3/8” split lock washers and (2) 3/8”-16 nuts.
Repeat for other legs.
Tighten all nuts and bolts.
Remove 2 x 4 boards.
