STOP DOWN / DEPTH-OF-FIELD PREVIEW
Stop Down functionality
The Aperture normally stops down only during the exposure.
In all other situations the Aperture is completely open.
TheViewnderandtheTouchDisplaywill,asaresult,show
anarrowdepth-of-eldregardlessofthecurrentAperture
setting.
How to preview the depth-of-eld
Avisualdepth-of-eldpreviewcheckcanbemadebyfollow-
ing these instructions.
1 Press the STOP DOWN button
(A)
.
2 Hold the button
(A)
pressed down.
3 The lens is stopped down to the current Aperture setting.
4 Adepth-of-eldpreviewisdisplayedintheViewnderand
on the Touch Display screen, as long as the STOP DOWN
button
(A)
is completely pressed down.
5 Verifythedepth-of-eldopticallyintheViewnderoron
the Touch Display screen.
6 Release the STOP DOWN button
(A)
to open up the
Aperture fully again.
Note!
Depth-of-eldisnotabsolute.Perceptionofitdependson
several factors and so it should be seen only as a rough guide.
