5.38 MULTI-SHOT – 4-SHOT AND 6-SHOT
Multi-Shot is a function only available in the H6D-400c MS
camera. In addition to regular 1-shot captures, this camera
can also make 4-shot and 6-shot captures to increase image
resolution and colour delity as well as reducing the risk of
moiré.
Multi Shot is only available when the camera is tethered to
Phocus.
4-Shot
In this mode, the camera will make four captures with a
1-pixel sensor shift between each image to capture full colour
information in each pixel. The images are then automatically
combined in Phocus to produce a 100 MPixel image with
stunning quality as no interpolation is required to make the full
100 MPixel RGB le.
6-Shot
In this mode, the camera adds two more captures to the
sequence above with 1/2-pixel sensor shift. This will generate
image data that can be interpolated to an image with 400
MPixel resolution, producing images with the highest resolution
and smoothest colour gradations available.
Notes!
• In order to use Multi-Shot, the camera must be tethered to
Phocus.
• The camera set-up must be extremely stable, making sure
that no camera movement will ruin the image.
• The lighting used must also be extremely stable to make
sure all images have the same lighting.
