Menu Shortcuts
To help you work faster, the sensor unit provides shortcuts to some of the most commonly used menu commands that do not otherwise
have a dedicated button on the front panel. ese are accessible by pressing and holding one of the front-panel buttons for a second or
so. ese are mentioned where appropriate elsewhere in this manual, but we summarize them here for your convenience.
e following shortcuts are available:
• To set the browse filter press and hold until your preferred filter is indicated. See also Using Instant Approval Architecture .
• To delete a single image select the target image and then press and hold the approve button until the confirm-delete dialog opens.
To delete multiple images, use the menu system as usual. See also MAIN MENU > Delete .
• To toggle the overexposure indicator press and hold until the display begins to flash (or stops flashing) its overexposed areas. See also
Overexposure Indicator .
To escape from zoom press and hold the (-) button. This is especially useful when you have zoomed in several steps. See also
Zooming In and Out .
Error Messages
When working with the Ixpress system as a stand-alone unit the following error messages in the Ixpress display ensure complete
control of image quality.
Each message is accompanied by a low key error sound.
ERROR MESSAGE MEANING AND SUGGESTED ACTION
Image Transfer Error An error has occurred between the Ixpress sensor unit and ImageBank-CF. Please check the link cable and connectors.
Camera Body Error An error has occurred between camera and Ixpress sensor unit. Please check exposure cables, connectors, and batteries.
Time-Out Exposure Error The sensor unit receives a time out signal while waiting for the exposure to finish. Please check that the exposure time is set correctly.
Bad Exposure The sensor unit has performed awake-up” capture after having been switched into “sleep” mode. This capture should be deleted instantly.
