Possible Problem Possible Cause
The wood does not light or lights only slowly. - The wood is too thick. / The wood is too damp.

- The control elements are positioned or set incorrectly.

- The chimney cross section is too narrow.
- The ue gas ducts in the stove pipe or chimney are extremely sooty.
- Wind is blowing down on the chimney.
- Fans (bathroom, kitchen) are creating negative pressure in the
living room and drawing smoke from the stove.
The chimney becomes wet and coated with creosote, condensate leaks out of the stove
pipe.
