How to load a software update
Hartmann Music distributes software updates via
Internet or music stores.
Hartmann Music will automatically inform you of new
updates, if you have sent your registration to us and
indicated an email address! You can tell if the
version provided to you is newer than the one
currently installed on your Neuron by comparing
software version numbers (basic settings).
An update can contain lots of great stuff, including
improvements to the system, expansions of
previously implemented features, and new features.
• Copy the software update from a connected
computer into the ftp directory

• Press the load/dump button.
• Twist the knob to select the software option for
the menu item load:
• Press enter.
Dump
SysEx
The options available here are almost identical
to those of the menu item Dump ftp.
However, this operation is not a data transfer in
accordance with the FTP protocol. Instead, MIDI
SysEx data is sent to the MIDI out interface. To
learn more about this, read the section "How to
send SysEx data" starting on page 180.
Note that a SysEx data transfer takes a lot longer
than an ftp load/dump.
