Module: Slicer
121
This is a pity because contemporary synthesizers
particular offer tremendous sound-sculpting
possibilities. Even more the pity that their design is
an ergonomic nightmare: Theyre too unwieldy and
their sound-shaping options are so intricately linked
that it takes a degree in rocket science to understand
them.
Here too, Neuron blazes a new trail. The awesome
powers of neural synthesis make it possible to
explore uncharted sonic frontiers. Right there in the
heart of the synthesis engine are sophisticated
sounds with a range of tonal properties that can be
manipulated directly and immediately. Extremely
powerful yet easy to handle, slicer has the tools it
takes to enrich and refine this source material.
In combination with the two resynators and the
blender, slicer makes complex internal "networking"
of modules superfluous. Some old school hardliners
actually enjoy connecting modules, so Neuron also
offers a modulation matrix with many variable
connection options!
Slicer: Control features
Button
On/Off
On/off switch and selector button for slicer
mode. Select the mode pressing it several
times. Slicer is deactivated if both LEDs are
extinguished.
Depth /
Spread
Adjusts the intensity of slicers effect on
the resynators output signal in vertical
mode. In 3D mode, the spread parameter
controls the spread of the effect in the
"three-dimensional" soundscape.
Rate Adjusts the frequency of the slicer
oscillation.
Value range: 0.0 to 20.0 Hz in 0.1 Hz
steps.
