Error during installation of the software
update
In rare cases, an error can occur during the
installation. The multimedia system automati‐
cally attempts to restore the previous version.
If restoration of the previous version is not possi‐
ble, one of the following display messages
appears on the Instrument Display:
Failure of the media display:
If the media display has failed, several systems
such as the reversing camera, Parktronic or cli‐
mate control are no longer available. Drive on
carefully and consult a specialist workshop as
soon as possible.
Failure of the Instrument Display:
If the Instrument Display has failed, you cannot
recognise function restrictions applying to safety
relevant systems. The operating safety of the
vehicle may be impaired. Have the vehicle
checked by a qualified specialist workshop
immediately.
