Switching between Active Distance Assist
DISTRONIC and the limiter

Press I.
Activating the variable limiter or Active Dis‐
tance Assist DISTRONIC

To activate without a stored speed: press
the upper section (SET+) or lower section
(SET-) of control panel 1 or press J.
Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC: remove
your foot from the accelerator pedal.

To activate with a stored speed: press
J. Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC:
remove your foot from the accelerator pedal.
The current driven speed is stored and main‐
tained (Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC) or
limited (variable limiter) by the vehicle.
Adopting the speed limitation shown in the
instrument cluster

Activate Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC.

Press J.
The speed limit displayed in the instrument
cluster is adopted as the stored speed. The
vehicle adapts its speed to that of the vehicle
in front, but only up to the stored speed.
Pulling away with Active Distance Assist
DISTRONIC
#
Activate Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC
and remove your foot from the brake pedal.

Press J.

Depress the accelerator pedal briefly and
firmly.
The functions of Active Distance Assist
DISTRONIC continue to be carried out.
Deactivating Active Distance Assist
DISTRONIC
&
WARNING Risk of accident due to Active
Distance Assist DISTRONIC still being
activated when you leave the driver's
seat
If you leave the driver's seat while the vehicle
is being braked by Active Distance Assist
DISTRONIC only, the vehicle can roll away.

Always deactivate Active Distance
Assist DISTRONIC and secure the vehi‐
cle to prevent it from rolling away
before you leave the driver's seat.
