Switching on the power supply or the igni‐
tion (without engine start)
&
WARNING Risk of accident and injury
due to children left unattended in the
vehicle
If children are left unsupervised in the vehi‐
cle, they could, in particular:
R
open doors, thereby endangering other
persons or road users.
R
get out and be struck by oncoming traf‐
fic.
R
operate vehicle equipment and become
trapped, for example.
In addition, the children could also set the
vehicle in motion, for example by:
R
releasing the parking brake.
R
change the transmission position.
R
start the vehicle.

Never leave children unattended in the
vehicle.

When leaving the vehicle, always take
the key with you and lock the vehicle.
#
Keep the key out of reach of children.
Also observe the "Notes on pets in the vehicle".
This also applies to the Digital Vehicle Key if the
"Digital Vehicle Key" function is activated via
Mercedes me connect.
Requirements:
R
the key is located in the vehicle and the key
battery is not discharged.
R
or: a Digital Vehicle Key is located in the cup
holder (/ page 174).
R
the brake pedal is not depressed.

To switch on the power supply: press but‐
ton 1 once.
You can activate the windscreen wiper, for
example.
The power supply is switched off again if the fol‐
lowing conditions are met:
R
you open the driver's door.
R
you press button 1 twice more.
