Text messages
Overview of message functions
In the messages menu you can receive and send
text messages.
If the connected mobile phone supports the
Bluetooth
®
MAP profile, the message function
can be used on the multimedia system.
You can obtain further information about set‐
tings and supported functions of Bluetooth
®
-
capable mobile phones at a Mercedes-Benz
service centre or at: https://www.mercedes-
benz-mobile.com/
Some mobile phones require further settings
after being connected to the multimedia system
to activate the messaging functionality (see
manufacturer's operating instructions).

After the voice message has been processed,
it is shown as text.
Sending a message

Select Send.

When the vehicle is stationary you can use
the keyboard to write a message. No Inter‐
net connection is required to use the key‐
board.
