When the ignition is switched on, the rear seat
belt status display informs you for a certain
amount of time which rear seat belt is not fas‐
tened.
The status of the rear seat belt can be recog‐
nised by the colour of the seat symbol in the
instrument cluster:
R
Grey: rear seat belt not fastened.
R
Green: the seat belt tongue of the rear seat
belt is engaged in the seat belt buckle of the
corresponding seat.
Every vehicle occupant must always fasten
their seat belt correctly before starting a
journey.

pressed the release button on the seat belt
buckle and unfastened the rear seat belt.
If a vehicle occupant unfastens a seat belt in the
rear, the rear seat belt status display appears
