10. With tailgate closed and latched,
position unit so Crank Slot is on driver’s
side outside edge of tailgate.
11. Slide Bracket Assemblies to inside edges of truck
walls and position Bracket Stops against Bracket
Assemblies. Tighten hardware on Bracket Stops.
12. Adjust Rear Brackets until snug against tailgate,
then tighten hardware. (See Figure D.)

13. Lower tailgate, then Feed Rear Bracket Straps
through gap between tailgate and truck bed,
then up tailgate to “L” Bracket Buckles. Feed
Straps through Buckles and tighten slack
by pulling Straps. (See Figure E.)

14. Insert Crank Handle into Crank Slot. If needed,
loosen Bracket Stops and reposition Roller Bar
to the left to make sure Crank Handle will clear
truck. Tighten Bracket Stops. (See Figure F.)

15. Remove Crank Handle and store in truck’s cab.
16. Close tailgate, then place Bumper Hook
(23) under bottom of bumper. Tighten slack
by pulling Bumper Strap (4). (See .)
